Product Specifications

Our (tongue & groove construction)
gives the loft extreme support and stability. End ladders are (notched), screwed and bolted to the bed rails. The loft is assembled with screws and 3/8" carriage bolts, no nails that will come loose over time.

Single and Double Bookshelves are available for all the Loft-Bed Sizes. Lofts are made from kiln-dried unfinished softwood (Spruce) construction grade dimensional lumber, typical of what you would find at a Home Depot, Lowes or local lumber yard. The loft is not made from furniture grade lumber. The legs are 2x6, front rail is 2x6, back rail is 1/2" plywood, ladder rungs are 2x6, safety rail is a 2x6 Rail.

Four (4) bed slats are provided with each loft. You can purchase more separately.

The loft may be painted, some sanding will be necessary. We do recommend painting the loft as unfinished softwood will absorb moisture and surface cracks will appear over time.

Note: Mattress are not included in the price, but you may purchase them from us. Most dorm beds can be disassembled and the frame and mattress used on our loft, check with your housing department before ordering.

We recommend using a 1/2" plywood platform instead of a box spring, you will save space and gain more headroom above the bed. Note, we do not supply the plywood platform, this can be purchased and cut to size from any Home Depot, Lowes or local lumber yard
